Glossary and jargon busters

As a carer you may find you hear terms, jargon, acronymns and phrases you don't understand. Don't be afraid to ask for an explanation.
All health and social care providers should ensure information they produce is written in plain English and is easy to understand.
They should also make sure people with a disability, impairment or sensory loss have access to information in different formats under the Accessible Information Standard.
If you find it difficult to understand something then let the provider know so they can make improvements.
